NSX T.A.G. - Track Assault Group
The Acura NSX is a wonderful car for the track. It is an mid-engined exotic with Honda reliability (Beth drives it to work daily during the week.)The NSX has an aluminum body with a 3.0L 270 HP VTEC engine. Titanium rods make it possible to see 8200 RPM. Quarter mile performance is only reasonable (13.9 sec @103.5 mph). The roadcourse is where it really belongs. With second set of wheels and race tires-it corners at just over 1 G.
We race at Firebird's three road courses, P.I.R., and soon on the new Arizona Motorsports Park 2.5 mi course. The clubs I race with have strict rules of engagement for street cars so we don't race for points or position but we are wheel to wheel with 30 cars at once.
