This dial has deep spherical catchlight markers engraved into the dial. The equilateral triangle crystal structure of the meteorites inspired me to mark major divisions at 12, 4 and 8 o'clock. The watch has no chapter ring to make the dial appear to float in the case. The bezel is not Meteorite but stainless steel that I have polished to match the look of the dial. I named this finishing technique "Meteor Polish" and it seems to really hold up well. It catches sunlight and indoor highlights and best of all, it does not show the hairline scratches that are unavoidable on mirror polished surfaces. After careful experimenting, I have found mirror polished stainless can be scratched by merely looking at it.
